The Tomorrow Lab Presents – Social Media & Influencer Marketing

The Tomorrow Lab team are happy to announce the launch of another year of digital marketing events with #TTLPresents (we know some of you have been waiting in anticipation).

This year we have a new venue and a HUGE line-up of fantastic speakers for our first event.

When, Where & What…

Our first event of the year will take place on Thursday 25th May at The Merchant Hotel in Belfast city centre, from 12pm-4pm.

The theme – Social Media & Influencer Marketing.

Social media marketing has been around for some time now and is certainly not going away anytime soon, as social platforms continue to develop their service offering and brands become more innovative with their social media marketing strategies.

Word of mouth is the most powerful form of communication, whether it be from family, friends, peers or people you trust, value and respect.  Last year it was found that 92% of consumers trust recommendations from other people – even if they don’t know them personally (Nielsen). Influencer marketing is set to dominate in 2017 for this reason.

Speaker Line-Up

We have a line-up of speakers with experience in social media and influencer marketing from agencies, brands and businesses across the UK and Ireland.

Drum roll please…

After completing an International Business Degree at the University of Birmingham and moving through all core business areas on a 2 year business graduate scheme at Virgin Media Business under the stewardship of Branson, Alex dropped out of the scheme taking a risk on an idea to create a media conglomerate from co-founder Steven Bartlett, Social Chain. Following a whirlwind two years, Alex now looks after the Global Accounts & Project Management teams, ensuring all campaigns stay true to our values of delivering the best results in the world whilst reasoning from first principles with a social-first mentality.

Social Chain is now one of the most influential marketing agencies in Europe with offices in Berlin, Manchester, NYC, London and soon to be India. Despite only having been going for just over two years, Social Chain’s influence over British social media is remarkable. Social Chain own and control over 400 communities across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat with content creators in every country that they operate and a combined following of 310 million followers in their network. This has enabled Social Chain to adapt constantly to the ever-changing social landscape and they are now responsible for 8 of the top 10 most engaged live streams ever on Social Media with the no.1 spot receiving 2.5 comments in just over 1 hour.
