Our third #TTLPresents of the year takes place on Thursday 29th September and sees the focus switch to content marketing, a discipline that is becoming more and more important for organisations as they aim to stand out from the crowd online.

Content marketing is not about making a hard sell, it is about creating interesting content for your audience, something they will engage and interact with, and ultimately drive long term customer actions.  This content needs to be valuable, relevant, and consistent, to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience.

Content can take many forms, whether itet’s a blog article, a video, an infographic or a podcast.  With millions of pieces of content shared on a daily basis, knowing how to go about creating content that can really stand out and make a difference will put you in a great position to get more online traffic, whether your goal is your website or social channels.

#1 STEPHEN WALSH – BUZZSUMO

Stephen Walsh has worked in learning, marketing and communications for over 20 years. He’s passionate about great content and great marketing that drives business growth. He co-founded Kineo, the e-learning company and led its content marketing and sales, growing it into a global brand which was sold to City & Guilds.

#2 NIAL TONER – THE TOMORROW LAB

Nial heads up the digital marketing team here at The Tomorrow Lab and is a passionate food and travel blogger in his spare time over at Pikalily.com.  Nial has worked on content marketing campaigns with clients including Expedia Ireland, Budweiser, Linwoods Healthfoods and Starplan and see’s content marketing as a crucial part of modern digital marketing.

TALK TITLE – 10 GREAT CONTENT MARKETING EXAMPLES AND WHAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM THEM.

This talk will look at how you go about developing content ideas before looking at some content marketing campaigns that have worked really well in recent years. You will take away a number of learnings from these successful campaigns, and pointers to help get you started with your next content marketing project.

#3 PADDY MOOGAN – AIRA

A regular speaker at events like Brighton SEO, Ungagged, SAScon and MozCon, as well as a regular contributor to industry sites including Moz, State of Digital and Search Engine Land, Paddy has a wealth of experience in the digital marketing field. Formally of Distilled, Paddy is the co-founder ofAira and literally wrote the book on linkbuilding (you can find it here).

TALK TITLE – MY BIGGEST CONTENT MARKETING MISTAKES (AND HOW YOU CAN AVOID THEM).

Lots of people are more than happy to talk about their successful campaigns, the ones that knocked it out the park and got traffic, links and social shares. But what about the failures? In this session, Paddy will talk through his biggest content marketing mistakes and share what he learned from them and importantly, how you can avoid them.

#4 STACEY MACNAUGHT – TECMARK

Stacey MacNaught is Search Director at Tecmark and specialises in content marketing and SEO. Aninc.com columnist, Stacey’s first foray into digital was as a freelance copywriter 12 years ago. She now speaks on SEO and content marketing at conferences globally.

TALK TITLE – 21 TOOLS AND TACTICS TO MAKE A CONTENT MARKETER’S LIFE EASIER.

Stacey will share some content marketing templates and tactics that the team at Tecmark use, as well as highlighting some 3rd party tools that content marketers can use to ideate, create, promote and measure content.
